Thursday

Sorry I didn't blog last night. Well, yesterday I left for the coast for 12 days. Levi drove me over. The unfortunate thing was that the last time I played my DS I didn't acctually turn it off. I just flipped the screen closed. So it was acctually on all night when I was charging it. Then, when I played it in Levi's car for the first 25 minutes of the ride, I noticed the red light blinking. So I had to spend all of my time in the car sitting. My books were in my suitcase which was in the trunk. It was the longest car ride of my life.
On a more cheery note, when I went to see grandma, I had a swell time. We watched movies and we watched TV. Grandma and I talked and she gave me a beautiful necklace.
Aunt Paula and Raine picked me up at about 10:00. I laughed as I showed Raine all the texts I had received from my mom. Raine and I insisted on staying up a little later to play "Dance, Dance, Revolution" but Aunt Paula wouldn't have it. She reminded Raine that she had school in the morning, which only made me much happier I didn't. Acctually, Today I DO have Friday School, but I am skipping. Anyway, Puala won in the end when she quoted the scripture about letting your yes mean 'yes' and your no 'no'. So Raine and I went to bed.

I hope that everyone reading this post will realize that my family needs to blog a lot more. I DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO READ!!!

Clothes!

Today I was rummaging through some boxes labeled "Sisters Clothing Exchange". I got them quite a while ago, but when I got them before I didn't look through it that thoroughly. Besides, I had different taste then. Anyway, I was looking and I saw RED TIGHTS!!! I know that may not be that exciting to you, but to me they were FABULOUS!! I also found this gorgeous other red dress with a sequin pattern on it! I found a lot of clothes that I thought looked weird before, that I thought looked wonderful now! Among them was a floral skirt, a dress jacket, a blue sparkly sweater/shirt, a gray skirt, a denim dress, and a silky red tank top. I was so surprised at how much good stuff there was in there that I had ignored before! Well that taught me to look a little closer.
I'm constantly learning things I didn't know before. I think I will blog about that sort of thing more.

More Catching Up

Sorry again. I keep needing to catch up. Levi stayed until Tuesday. On Tuesday there was no meeting because of the assembly on Sunday. So we studied for the bible study, the bible reading, and the Memorial scriptures then instead. We had yummy stir fry for dinner and I watched the final episode of Kyle XY. It had an extremely unsatisfying ending. I actually thought my D.V.R. had stopped working. But, anyway, that is it. Good-bye.

Catching up

Excuse me, please, for not blogging over the past week or so.

Two Saturdays ago my cousin Raine, my Aunt Paula, and my dear Uncle Dan visited until the following Friday. I had a lot of fun. Raine and I bunked in my room. She slept on the hide-a-bed.
On the following Saturday we went to Leavenworth. We ate brunch at Kristalls cafe`. I had canadian bacon and eggs, with toast and hash browns. It was delicious! I will catch up more later, but I have to watch Kyle XY.

March Comes Like a Lion, but Leaves Like a Lamb...

Who made that dumb phrase up!!! March came like a lamb, and it's leaving like a lamb! I haven't seen one good storm since March started. I am not talking about just rain, I am talking about thunder, lightning, HAIL THE SIZE OF MINIVANS!!! But, I am also glad that stupid snow is gone. I can wait for next winter. Mom said that by September I'll be begging for winter but I know that's not true.
Man, I used to love getting my picture taken but now I don't. I like my profile picture because I didn't have to smile. It rocks. I can finally type really good now. I am at like almost 50 wpm. It's cool. Well that's all the news for now. OH! My cousin, aunt and uncle are coming over Friday and spending like 5 days over here. I can't wait! I'm starting a countdown of days.

5 MORE DAYS!!!

March 11, 2009

Today was a average day. I woke up and It was very cold. I crawled onto the couch under two blankies. Daddy and Mama watched news for a while, and then daddy let me watch some cartoons. Daddy made bacon and eggs for breakfast. It was yummy! Then everybody did their chores. After chores it was time to do homework. I did Math and Typing and a little bit of Art. I have a cartooning book for Art. Pretty soon Mommy came home from work with groceries, and she got pickles. I had one. Then we went to Chris and Jennifer Brown's house for dinner. They made grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for dinner. I liked it a lot. Then me and Jesse and Ashlyn and Gabe all wrestled upstairs. That was very painful, but fun. When it got dark I was tired, so I started to read the children's books that belonged to Dylan (Chris and Jennifer's 2-year-old son.) I like to read children's books sometimes because they have good pictures usually. I like one called "My Bedtime Book" because the illustrations look very realistic. Ashlyn and I got bored so we went outside even though it was dark and made up and obstacle course. I had to jump rope 30 times and slide down a mini-slide 5 times and run around her yard once and ride a scooter around her patio 3 times and teeter-totter 10 times. It was pretty time-consuming, and it gave me something to focus on. Then we played kickball. When we went home I was tired. I still am. That's all.

Weaving all the world away...

I decided to take on basket weaving this Monday. It was quite an experience. Though I can't accurately say that basket weaving was on my bucket list, I am glad that I don't have to live life wishing I could make a basket.

This is me in the process of making the basket.

The basket is terribly misshapen. I don't believe it will fit any bread in it even though it is a bread basket.
This is what the basket looked like when I was done.

Basket making is not a hobby I wish to pursue. Besides basket making, my weekend has been going splendid. We went to Craig and Anita weeks on Saturday evening. Then on Sunday evening we went to the Kammeyer's house. It was so fun. We played cards and they served the very greatest ice-cream-sundays. It was delicious. I ate mine too quickly, Im afraid. I really need to work on eating slower.

Sometimes it takes confidence to do things. Little things like:

Smiling when things look sad,
Joking when things are serious,
Being yourself
And always, always, being nice. No matter how much you wanna throttle someone.

Independence

Independence
by: Edward Bear

I never did, I never did, I never did like
"Now take care, dear!"
I never did, I never did, I never did want
"Hold-my-hand";
I never did, I never did, I never did think much of
"Not up there, dear!"
It's no use saying it. They don't understand.

Some Good News, Finally!

It rained this morning which melted most of the snow. This is great news. I also smelled mud this morning, a smell I love. It is Monday, a day in which I do not enjoy because I usually have a lot of homework to do. I did. It was a very stressful Monday. Not much to say exept that I'm glad that the snow is leaving. Also, we got a new puppy! Her name is Sunday. Also, I injured my pinkie finger at a friends house the other day. I was reaching for the remote on their glass table and I cut my finger on a jagged edge of the glass. It didn't hurt, but it sure bled a lot. So I am happy.
