Wowzers!

I haven't blogged in a LONG time!
I am fully to blame, I cannot blame another person for this. All those long hours I spent on Facebook could have been spent pouring out the details of my life to this blog
Anyway, I have really changed. I got taller, for one. For another, I like purple instead of pink, stars instead of hearts, and pop music instead of classical. Well, I acctually like country/pop.
Anyway, I cant stay for long
Good night

Slow Summer

We haven't done anything special. I will tell you one thing, we have not partied nearly as much as last year. Not that I am complaining. Just don't expect me to tell you great stories of parties, thats all. Dakota has been taking Drivers Ed for the past month or so. He is an OK driver. Mom and Daddy are starting up their "My Last Fat Summer" program again, and have started doing crossfit. Our yard has become infested with bees. Jesse went outside and sprayed down a bunch of giant hives that are filled with angry wasps. Dakota won the Biggest Loser contest and got $500 bucks, lucky him. I got my DSi and now owe Dakota $65 bucks because I only payed for $110 of it. Not that I am complaining. Luckily I have job. I got $10 for cleaning Vicki G's upstairs and had to pay Kota half of it. It has been too dang hot to do anything fun outside becuase it is too miserable out there. Our pool has ran into problem after problem. This week Aunt Puala and Raine are moving over here. They will be across the street from us. It will be super fun with them over here. When they get over here we will float the river. Ashlyn and Shelby have been on vacay since June, and I have missed both of them a lot. Ashlyn is coming back today and Shelby will be here on Saturday.

THE TADPOLE SNATCHERS

Do you remember those summer days when there was nothing to do but play on Facebook until your mom kicked you off because you 'weren't going to spend you summer like that'? Well, I do. In fact, that happened today. So of course after I am banned from Facebook I go outside and wash my bike until it is sparkling. Then I spray some rust stuff on it, and pump up the tires and decorate it with stickers. I try to take it for a joy ride, but Mr. Nobody broke my brakes and my tires made a funny noise. So I get off and think of other things to do. I go to the pool. It just got filled up. It is still really dirty, and I find out that the tube that goes to the filter that is connected to our pool broke loose from the filter and so I screw on what I thought was the correct hose and go tell dad. Well, dad comes out and tells me I needed to put the white hose on the filter not the black one. Then its fine again. But I'm still bored so I catch tadpoles. By then, Jesse's Facebook time had expired, too. So he also caught tadpoles. Our conversation went like this.
"Whoo! I got two!
"There are no tadpoles over here."
"Whoa, thats a big fella."
So I see a red floaty ring and I throw it on the pool and tell Jesse that the first person who throws a tadpole in the middle gets fifty points. He says its unfair because I'm closer and so I move over to where he is- the ladder. We go back and forth, throwing tadpoles when Jess falls in. He only went in to his waist, but he was worried about his phone. So was I. Then our game is over.

Conqering a Milestone

On July 6th, at 10:04 p.m., yours truly conquered a great milestone. I beat my mother at scrabble.
It was a close game. I had just added an "N" to a corner with an "A" under and to the right. I was out of peices. So was Mom. The score was Cheyenne: 303 Mom: 273. I had beaten her by 30 points.
You may think its silly. You may think its weird. But at that moment I was proud, proud, proud, proud, proud. I want to thank my hand, for drawing the "X" and the "Z" and the "J". I also want the thank my brain for seeing the word "GENETIC" and "PAJAMA". Thank you body parts. Okay, goodbye.

Hello. Cheyenne, your favorite writer, is back with action packed Tonasket News.

Sunday: The family kicked off the day going to meeting. Afterwards we made our appearance at the hospitality lunch for the speaker (taking place at the Emery Home). We ate meatballs and mini hotdogs until we could eat no more. Unfortunately, yours truly was sick from most likely nasty lake water that had accidently slipped down my esophagus the previous Saturday. We went home. I slept in my comfy bed for an hour and a half and then woke to a pleasant overcast evening. I watched "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton", took a bath, and went to bed again.
Monday: I woke up and slept on the couch. I watched cartoons until one o clock, then I played the wii until five o clock and then I played on Babie. com and played. Then I went to Ashlyn's house and helped with her new baby brother Dalton. I ate dinner there and Daddy picked me up and six fifty five.
Tuesday: I woke up. I watched Camp Rock. I did my chore and we picked up Dakota from Drivers Ed. We listened to this talk my mom had a link to, I played outside a little, we went to meeting and then came home and then watched "America's Got Talent."

That's all our news for now. Join us next time on Cheyenne Speaks Up. For now I'm Cheyenne Rainey reporting live from Tonasket.

This is a pic of me when I was like ten years old.
Anyway, pretty much I have just been doing whatever this week. Last weekend I went to this boring hunter's saftey course. I learned a lot, even though it was boring. I went out in service this morning. It was pretty fun. I worked with Amey, Natalie, Rosa, and my mom.
I just played with chibi. We were wrestling over a teddy bear my cousing Shawn gave me (or is it Sean?). Its green and has a leaf design on one foot and on the other foot it says "Canada"; which is why I call it Canada Bear. It's pretty much dead now. Really torn up!
Tonight I'm going to do the range test at hunter's saftey. The field test and regular test was pretty much a piece of cake. I can't wait to hit all three targets and show my brothers the best shooter in the house.

Sunday

On Sunday morning I woke up and Aunt Paula handed me and Raine a watchtower and said we needed to read through it. So we did. I had left my Watchtower at home! So we read through it and It was a good one, I thought. We went to the meeting and got there a little late, so we sat in on the right side of the kingdom hall and in the middle row. The brother giving the talk did a very good job, I found It was a nice talk.
The watchtower study was fun, too. On one paragraph a brother raised his hand and told us that he looked up what "refuse" meant and that it literally meant dog droppings! Well, the brother next to us (I am pretty sure his name is Brian) couldn't stop laughing!
After the meeting I met a brother named Stephen ( Stef en, not Steefen) and a girl named Lisa who was really nice.
We went to the mall after meeting and I got new shoes. I think I will go pants shopping with Aunt Chanelle. After that we went to a little dinner. Courtney, Raine, Keliana and me did a skit about the Israelites crossing the Red Sea. It was funny. After while the party died down and people started leaving. Aunt Paula and Uncle Dan picked us up and we went home. Raine and I watched Enchanted and then I fell asleep.

Saturday

On Saturday morning I woke up at 9:30 and said "Well, I guess we can't get out in service."
Raine made pancakes for breakfast; but it took her so long to make them it was brunch. Then I played the wii for a while. I played Wii play and Laura Croft. Then Paula and me picked up Raine and her friend and we went to Taco Del Mar. I ordered a Mondito Burrito and had Dr. Hice for my drink (Hi-C with Dr. Pepper). After everyone had their food, we found a shady picnic spot on some grass near a baseball field. There was a game going on. After we ate, we went back to LWHS to drop off Raine and her friend for their last showing of the play. Paula and I went to Costco and got a few things.
After Costco we went back to LWHS again to see the show again. It was better this time because I got us pretty much front row seats.
Then we went home, exhausted.

Friday

Yesterday morning I woke up and took a shower. Then I had sourdough toast and butter for breakfast. I also blogged and played on facebook for a little while. Then my Aunt Chanelle picked me up. We went to the store to pick up some stuff. Then we had to go back to the store because she forgot to buy coffee for her friend Brittany. Brittany and her and I and Brittany's nephew Wesly went on some errands. Wesley was only 1 year old. While Chanelle & Brittany went for a quick 10 minute tan Wesly and I went for a small walk. I saw Fish in a little pond and showed Wes and then he ran up to it saying Shishee! Shishee! It was sorta funny. Then we went to office max and some other places and finally we were done with errands. In the afternoon Chanelle had her work out class that she tought and I was allowed to do it to. So she asked me to get the exserice balls out, which I gladly did. Then I kept playing on them. It was fun. It was tiring, but I had a lot of fun. I can't wait to spend the night there! Anyway, after that I just played around on the excercise balls all afternoon. But Chanelle did style my hair and put makeup on me and I wore a nice outfit and some cool shoes and she took a bunch of pictures of me. She sent the pictures to almost all of my aunts and they all said stuff like "Wow! I like it!" and "Me likey!" or my favorite; "I didn't even recognize her!" Then I played some more on the excercise balls some more till it was time for dinner. I had a hamburger. Then Paula picked me up and we went and saw Guys and Dolls. I didn't really get it that well, although it made more sense after Paula explained what Kraps was. Then we went to Sharis for dessert. It was yummy. The end.

Thursday

Sorry I didn't blog last night. Well, yesterday I left for the coast for 12 days. Levi drove me over. The unfortunate thing was that the last time I played my DS I didn't acctually turn it off. I just flipped the screen closed. So it was acctually on all night when I was charging it. Then, when I played it in Levi's car for the first 25 minutes of the ride, I noticed the red light blinking. So I had to spend all of my time in the car sitting. My books were in my suitcase which was in the trunk. It was the longest car ride of my life.
On a more cheery note, when I went to see grandma, I had a swell time. We watched movies and we watched TV. Grandma and I talked and she gave me a beautiful necklace.
Aunt Paula and Raine picked me up at about 10:00. I laughed as I showed Raine all the texts I had received from my mom. Raine and I insisted on staying up a little later to play "Dance, Dance, Revolution" but Aunt Paula wouldn't have it. She reminded Raine that she had school in the morning, which only made me much happier I didn't. Acctually, Today I DO have Friday School, but I am skipping. Anyway, Puala won in the end when she quoted the scripture about letting your yes mean 'yes' and your no 'no'. So Raine and I went to bed.

I hope that everyone reading this post will realize that my family needs to blog a lot more. I DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO READ!!!

Clothes!

Today I was rummaging through some boxes labeled "Sisters Clothing Exchange". I got them quite a while ago, but when I got them before I didn't look through it that thoroughly. Besides, I had different taste then. Anyway, I was looking and I saw RED TIGHTS!!! I know that may not be that exciting to you, but to me they were FABULOUS!! I also found this gorgeous other red dress with a sequin pattern on it! I found a lot of clothes that I thought looked weird before, that I thought looked wonderful now! Among them was a floral skirt, a dress jacket, a blue sparkly sweater/shirt, a gray skirt, a denim dress, and a silky red tank top. I was so surprised at how much good stuff there was in there that I had ignored before! Well that taught me to look a little closer.
I'm constantly learning things I didn't know before. I think I will blog about that sort of thing more.

More Catching Up

Sorry again. I keep needing to catch up. Levi stayed until Tuesday. On Tuesday there was no meeting because of the assembly on Sunday. So we studied for the bible study, the bible reading, and the Memorial scriptures then instead. We had yummy stir fry for dinner and I watched the final episode of Kyle XY. It had an extremely unsatisfying ending. I actually thought my D.V.R. had stopped working. But, anyway, that is it. Good-bye.

Catching up

Excuse me, please, for not blogging over the past week or so.

Two Saturdays ago my cousin Raine, my Aunt Paula, and my dear Uncle Dan visited until the following Friday. I had a lot of fun. Raine and I bunked in my room. She slept on the hide-a-bed.
On the following Saturday we went to Leavenworth. We ate brunch at Kristalls cafe`. I had canadian bacon and eggs, with toast and hash browns. It was delicious! I will catch up more later, but I have to watch Kyle XY.

March Comes Like a Lion, but Leaves Like a Lamb...

Who made that dumb phrase up!!! March came like a lamb, and it's leaving like a lamb! I haven't seen one good storm since March started. I am not talking about just rain, I am talking about thunder, lightning, HAIL THE SIZE OF MINIVANS!!! But, I am also glad that stupid snow is gone. I can wait for next winter. Mom said that by September I'll be begging for winter but I know that's not true.
Man, I used to love getting my picture taken but now I don't. I like my profile picture because I didn't have to smile. It rocks. I can finally type really good now. I am at like almost 50 wpm. It's cool. Well that's all the news for now. OH! My cousin, aunt and uncle are coming over Friday and spending like 5 days over here. I can't wait! I'm starting a countdown of days.

5 MORE DAYS!!!

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

March 11, 2009

Today was a average day. I woke up and It was very cold. I crawled onto the couch under two blankies. Daddy and Mama watched news for a while, and then daddy let me watch some cartoons. Daddy made bacon and eggs for breakfast. It was yummy! Then everybody did their chores. After chores it was time to do homework. I did Math and Typing and a little bit of Art. I have a cartooning book for Art. Pretty soon Mommy came home from work with groceries, and she got pickles. I had one. Then we went to Chris and Jennifer Brown's house for dinner. They made grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for dinner. I liked it a lot. Then me and Jesse and Ashlyn and Gabe all wrestled upstairs. That was very painful, but fun. When it got dark I was tired, so I started to read the children's books that belonged to Dylan (Chris and Jennifer's 2-year-old son.) I like to read children's books sometimes because they have good pictures usually. I like one called "My Bedtime Book" because the illustrations look very realistic. Ashlyn and I got bored so we went outside even though it was dark and made up and obstacle course. I had to jump rope 30 times and slide down a mini-slide 5 times and run around her yard once and ride a scooter around her patio 3 times and teeter-totter 10 times. It was pretty time-consuming, and it gave me something to focus on. Then we played kickball. When we went home I was tired. I still am. That's all.

Weaving all the world away...

I decided to take on basket weaving this Monday. It was quite an experience. Though I can't accurately say that basket weaving was on my bucket list, I am glad that I don't have to live life wishing I could make a basket.

This is me in the process of making the basket.

The basket is terribly misshapen. I don't believe it will fit any bread in it even though it is a bread basket.
This is what the basket looked like when I was done.

Basket making is not a hobby I wish to pursue. Besides basket making, my weekend has been going splendid. We went to Craig and Anita weeks on Saturday evening. Then on Sunday evening we went to the Kammeyer's house. It was so fun. We played cards and they served the very greatest ice-cream-sundays. It was delicious. I ate mine too quickly, Im afraid. I really need to work on eating slower.

Sometimes it takes confidence to do things. Little things like:

Smiling when things look sad,
Joking when things are serious,
Being yourself
And always, always, being nice. No matter how much you wanna throttle someone.

Independence

Independence
by: Edward Bear

I never did, I never did, I never did like
"Now take care, dear!"
I never did, I never did, I never did want
"Hold-my-hand";
I never did, I never did, I never did think much of
"Not up there, dear!"
It's no use saying it. They don't understand.

Some News

Hey everyone!

Things have been going pretty good. The snow is almost gone! Gone! GONE!!! I love spring. I cant wait for the warm air and the trips to lake osoyoos. Also, Summer means no school. I know I'm smart but I cant help but wait for school-free days. I have writers block right now so Im going to stop writing.

Some Good News, Finally!

It rained this morning which melted most of the snow. This is great news. I also smelled mud this morning, a smell I love. It is Monday, a day in which I do not enjoy because I usually have a lot of homework to do. I did. It was a very stressful Monday. Not much to say exept that I'm glad that the snow is leaving. Also, we got a new puppy! Her name is Sunday. Also, I injured my pinkie finger at a friends house the other day. I was reaching for the remote on their glass table and I cut my finger on a jagged edge of the glass. It didn't hurt, but it sure bled a lot. So I am happy.

Life is full of surprises

The reason the title is what it is, and I know i've blogged about this before, but every time the snow starts to melt and I go to sleep thinking that morning time will be Spring, It snows! Take yesterday for instance. The sun shone and I saw the entire driveway without a speck of snow on the ground. I could see grass in the yard, and the air smelled of flowers. Then I woke up in the morning and mom said: "Look outside, Chey." It was a snowstorm.
I was so upset I screeched "No!" so loudly that I caused daddy to break his stare at the TV morning news to look at me funny. Now, I in the past have a record of actually liking snow. That was then, this is now. The next time I blog without complaining of the snow, most likely I will be in a good mood and it will be springtime.

That's it for now

So Young, Yet So Old

You may wonder why I chose that for my title. Well, I'll tell you. My back hurts. That's the only reason why. I feel like an old geezer that has arthritis all over. Okay, that's stretching it a lot. Anyway, if you recently read my mother's blog, you have heard of my little spider incident. For the record, it was UNEXPECTED. I was just washing my hands for dinner when I saw the spider on my collar and I shrieked!
Not much has been going on here. I have learned more Spanish, and I now don't have to look at the keyboard when I type. I actually think that this is making me type faster than before. That's a surprise. Also, I set a 10:00 bedtime for myself last night. I woke up at 8:00 this morning and felt rested. I am sticking to that bedtime. Oops! It's past my bedtime. Good night!

2/05/09

This morning I woke up at 7:59. Mom and Dakota were going out in service. I stayed home and watched T.V. for two hours. I fed the cats and dogs, then I did my homework. I had to do one story in reading WASL, finish my science homework, and write the final draft of my essay. I did, then I read my book, The Summer of the Swans. I acctually finished it today! Daddy let me play on his I-Phone. Then I played Sims Castaway on my DS. Lately I have been playing Wii Sports, and I have almost gone pro on baseball in it. Then we did our bible reading. Mom served corned-beef for dinner with cooked cabbage and potatos too. It was yummy. Now I blogged. Hope you liked my post!

The Funniest Picture Of Chibi Ever!

Last night my family had chicken strips for dinner. This morning, there a few pieces left over, so daddy told me I could feed them to Chibi. I timed out a picture, honestly I didn't think it was going to work. Here it is!!!

Snow, Snow, Go Away. Come Again... Never!

The snow we still have around the property is driving me crazy! It's trampled down and now just mere slush. Five words; I can't wait 'til summer! Swimming in Lake Osoyoos, making mud concrete in the sandpile. Not to mention falling asleep to the sound of sprinklers. Even weeding the garden is better than this winter torture!

On a more positive note, my hair is growing and I can speak enough spanish to confuse my family :) I also got my grades for this semester. I have a GPA of 3.94! This semester I am shooting for a 4.0. My mom picked up some flax oil at the grocery store for my dry skin. I have to chug down a glass of juice and it every morning (glah!) Chibi is in heat again. Let's hope for some puppies!I spent the night at the Kammeyers on Saturday night. I give them a special thank-you shout out. Sunday was the Superbowl. Despite all my cheering and hopeful thoughts, the Cardinals lost. I pigged on the snacks there, though. They had everything there; even shrimp cocktail!

That is all for now, I guess. Thanks for reading!

It's still here (groan)

My hair is growing!

My Big Plan

Hi! So recently my mom and brother have decided to lose weight, and I thought I would give it a try. For about 30 hours I was on a strict diet. Then I caved. Well, this morning I thought that I should at least see where I'm at. Now, I'm not going to say exact numbers, but I ended up leaping for joy at my progress. I was so happy I probably lost two pounds just dancing with victory!

So tonight I summoned up the courage to put Wii Fit into the disk drive of the Wii. I stepped on the scale and bit my lip. Yahoo! The scale on Wii Fit said I was five pounds from normal. Oh how I celebrated. I am practically trying to lose the weight before I get on it again tomorrow. Two other things I am doing are learning Spanish and growing out my hair. Both are progressing agonizingly slow. So I guess my big plan is to learn enough Spanish to speak it fluently, grow out my hair, and get really, really, fit!

Raine Comes Over, yay!

On Thursday Raine, Paula, and Grandma Laraine came to Tonasket. Everybody (I hope) was happy to see them. We had a big feast of Chili and cornbread. That night, Sami, Tammy, Jesse K., Cheyenne K., Lily, Shelby, Kelly, Paula, Raine, Grandma, and our clan were all at our house. Afterwards, Grandma stayed at our home while Raine and Paula went to Tammy's house. Everybody else went home.
The next day I woke up and relaxed at my house until about 5:00 p.m. Then Paula, Raine, Mom and I went to Sky's house for din-din. There was a taco bar. All of the kids played Rock Band downstairs until it was time to go. Then something exciting happened. My mom showed me a puppy that were going to baby-sit overnight. It was a Golden Retriever German Shepard mix. It was cute, but we took it back the next day because it was a poop machine. I spent almost all of Saturday playing Rock Band 2 at Tammy's house. Gabe, Sky, Raine, Me, Tammy, Sami, Jesse K., Joey, and Paula were all there. On Sunday the Wilsons departed, and so did our spontanious weekend. But the Wilsons will be back in the spring. I can't wait!
